Happy Weekend!

We've been enjoying spring break this week and it's been wonderful, but I'm glad the weekend is here because that means our son Justin will be returning from his missions trip. Justin has been in Kentucky this week at the Apalachia Christian Project. He reported earlier this week that he learned how to lay laminate flooring and hang shutters. He sounded good, but tired. I can't wait to hear all of the details and of course, see his smiling face. :)

This weekend our oldest son, Josh will also be playing guitar with the worship band at our church. It's his first time playing during church service. He's been practicing for weeks and is so excited about the opportunity. It makes me so happy to see my boys using their gifts to glorify our God.

It's such a beautiful day today here in DeKalb. The sun is so bright! I'm off to Archiver's and the mall with my friend Amy and her girls. My daughter Sarah ditched me for a sleep over with her cousins last night. I guess I can't blame her as she only gets to see them once in a while. ;)

Before I head out, I wanted to share some blog candy with you. Just leave a comment here sharing one of your favorite weekend activities. I'll pick a random winner on Tuesday, April 1st. Now go enjoy your weekend! :) ~Patti

Thanks for the offer of blog candy. We like to spend some time each weekend doing a family thing we all enjoy: a picnic in the park, doing a hiking trail, watching a favorite movie.

Yummy candy! Thanks for the chance to win. Each Sunday my husband and daughter eat lunch with my Mom. It's usually the highlight of our weekend.

I look forward to the weekends because my daughter & son will often bring the grandkids over for a visit. These 3 little ones are always the highlight of my week:) Since I just got home from a trip to the Oregon coast, this weekend will be spent unpacking and resting up from a busy & fun week. I sure love the beautiful card you made with the Everyday Blessings set. It's just gorgeous!

Hi Patti!

Our spring break is this week. Our sons are very similar it seems, because Mark just got to Montana yesterday for a mission trip at the Blackfeet Indian Reservation there. I'm glad you are back to blogging. I like visiting your blog and seeing all of your lovely creations!
Let's see. My favorite weekend activity is not working! Haha. I work every third weekend, so I do enjoy the weekends I am off. I like Sundays mornings. We go to church as a family.(which doesn't always happen when I work, since I usually go alone on Saturday night when I work the weekend) After church we usually go to Panera and pick up some coffee and. Then we enjoy paper together, and just relax a bit. Sometimes we go to Evanston to visit Daniel at school. It's especially nice along the lake if the weather is warm.:)
Thanks for the chance at the blog candy! You are too nice!

Hi Patti,

Don't enter me in the blog candy drawing, you've blessed me too much already. I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed seeing Josh play at church this morning. He did a great job on stage and I could tell he really had fun up there!

I'm looking forward to hearing about Justin's trip.

Have a great week back at work,
Priscilla
