Happy Friday!!! I can't think of a better way to celebrate the end of this very long week than to share some blog candy. Yum! :)
My husband and I really enjoy relaxing with a good movie on the weekend. We especially like romantic comedies, action flicks and the classics. We're always looking for something new.
So, if you're interested in a chance at the goodies above, leave a post here with the name of your all time favorite movie. I'll do a random drawing on Wednesday for the winner.
BTW, if you're looking for a good movie to watch this weekend, check out...Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice (the BBC version), Just Like Heaven, Return to Me, Serendipity, Hitch, The Island, Black Hawk Down, The Bourne Identity, Rear Window, Mr. Smith Goes to Washingon or You Can't Take it with You. Just a sampling of our faves.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a super weekend!

Hi! Fun goodies!!! I'm Cheryl. My favorite movie is Office Space. I love it!! I could watch it over and over. I think I relate to it being an ex-engineer in cubical land. Thanks!

One of my favorite movies that is a romantic comedy is called The Wedding Date. I believe Debra Messing and Dermot Mulruney are in it and it's great!
thanks!

My all time favorite is Titanic. I have seen them all and the latest one is my favorite. Not because of the disaster...I do like true storys though, but because of the story they build around the movie.

Ok..I think you named my all time favorite movie the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth is just yummy in it.

I'm going to go back in time ....
Rocky Horror Picture Show (I thought that was a gas when I was young), Sound of Music, Where Angels go Troubles Follow with Hailey Mills, and the trilogy of Audry Hepburn movies. :) Happy Day
We just got done watching We Are Marshall. It was a really good movie, although sad because it's based on true events. I love all romantic comedy movies like Tootsie, My Best Friend's Wedding, etc. I'm going to recommend you watch Something the Lord Made. I loved it!!!
try and find Crossing Delancy with Amy Irving and Peter Riegert

I love this one even if its 20 years old./
my all time fav. is "anne of green gables" (with "anne of avonlea" a close second). then comes the 80's w/ "16 candles", "goonies", "ferris buellers day off", "girls just want to have fun".....)
I have a couple, but one of them is also Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version) and Love Actually, also Fried Green Tomatoes.
OHHHHH there are so many, but if I had to narrow it down to one I would say it has to be between Sweet Home Alabama and Pretty Woman. I love it when the guy gets the girl in the end, a sap for happy endings..... :)
Have a terrific weekend. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Since Halloween is coming and my 12 y /o is really into scary movies...my favorite SCARy movie is: In the dead of winter...don't watch it - I had nightmares for a long time! Other than that, I loved watching Joy Luck Club, and Memoirs of a Geisha.
Its an oldie but goodie!!!
The Way We Were.
GREAT BLOG!!!
I saw a movie called "Miss Potter". I loved it and I hope you will too but my all time favorite is an oldie called "Sheffy". You can't go wrong with this movie at all!

I can't believe you mentioned Rear Window. That is my favorite classic film!!
It's hard to pick a favorite current movie though!!! I'll just tell you genres... Sci Fi, action, mystery, Harry Potter, comedy, chick flicks ... can you tell I enjoy movies??? One of my favorite movie is Over the Rainbow starring Robin Williams. Such a sweet and touching movie.
Hi Patti!
Thanks for offering yummy blog candy :)
My favorite movie that has been on lately is "As good as it gets" with Jack Nicholason and Diane Keaton.
My all time favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption. I could watch it over and over again. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
Both my husband and I have been mesmerized by the Lord of the Ring series and it will remain at the top of our list, probably forever. Thanks for a chance to win.
DH and I are movie junkies too! There are SO many. We recently watched Wild Hogs - funny. We also like all the Harry Potters. We also recently watched Bridge to Terabithia (sp) with DD. BIG mistake. I didn't realize someone dies (they don't show it, but say it) and DD got VERY upset :( All our friends with kids recommended it!
How funny,we just watched Rush HOur 3 and it was hilarious. I also love 30 First Dates and Premonition.
Can't wait to check out your recommendations!

Oh...The Way We Were...sniff sniff...such a great movie. I gotta say my all time faves are Xanadu, and Aunte Mame with Rosyln Russell. As far as current movies they are forever changing. I love a great mystery and a sappy dramady as well.
Hi Patti!
Thanks for offering yummy blog candy :)
AMC channel had Alfred Hitchcock week...I had forgotten how much I enjoyed "The Trouble with Harry"...it is a hoot!
I have so many...it's hard to pick just one.
I'm going to say "GHOST"
I have probaly watched it 30 times.
Thanks for a chance to WIN your
blog candy.
I have lots of favorites and my favorite of the moment depends on what mood I'm in. One that fits several moods is Into the West (not a western -- it's a lovely Irish movie with lovely Gabriel Byrne and the 2 cutest little boys in movies). Thanks for letting me play.
Oh Patti, it's hard to pick just one! One of my favorites is Christmas in Connecticut. But if you want a non holiday family movie, everyone in our house is always willing to watch The Princess Bride. Actually, we don't even have to watch it because my guys can recite it verbatim. If they could only make a good movie about math and history...
I have so many favorites...I love a lot of the movies you mentioned, as well as Shawshank Redemption, which I actually just saw recently! Thanks for this chance to win sweet candy!

Patti, I had not visited your site in a week, and look at all the beautiful projects you have created. My favorite movies include An Affair to Remember the oldie with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I need half a box of kleenex to watch.
